Sim's Story

Natthakritta is the new wave of Z generation golfers coming out of Asia’s newest golf powerhouse, Thailand. She has essentially dominated the junior amateur golf scene there. Along with Atthaya Thitikul, she has been the face of the Thai National Team. Before picking up golf, Natthakritta was a swimmer. She began to learn golf when she was only 5 years old. Better known amongst her friends in Thailand as “SIM 300 Yards” for her tremendous length off the tee, SIM is strong, but precise, stunning everyone who watches her as she pummels the ball into the open air. The golfing world woke up to her existence when SIM competed at the 2021 Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific Championship sanctioned by the R&A, as she led all four days of the tournament, despite falling short on the final day to finish T2. However, it was her style of play and the way she dominated her peers that mesmerized the audience. Following a bogey on the second hole in the opening round, Vongtaveelap did not drop any shots in the next 58 holes of the championship. She had taken a 3-shot lead at -15 going into Round 4 but wasn’t able to turn in an under par scorecard in the final round as Japan’s Mizuki Hashimoto shot -4 to win by 1 shot. Regardless of her T2 finish, the world was able to get a taste of how much potential this young Thai girl has. In 2022, she once again finished runner-up at the Women’s Amateur Asia Pacific Championship and rose to her highest WAGR 28. SIM plowed her way through three stages of the 2022 LPGA Tour Qualifying School and finished T28 at the Q-Series to earn membership for the 2023 LPGA Tour where she will pursue her dream of playing against the best female golfers in the world and begin her journey to become the number one player in the world. With the way things are going, that goal just might become a reality sooner rather than later. SIM is one of the biggest hitters in women’s golf today. Her role model is Tiger Woods, she loves the way he hits his shots, especially trouble shots. She blazed her way through three stages of LPGA qualifying in 2022 and now as a member of the LPGA Tour, it is only a matter of time that the world will get to see her Tiger-esque talent on the biggest stage in women’s golf. Hello, world.
